Speaking of Beethoven, to Leah Roseman!
Week 37 in Year Two of one pianist’s journey to perform the 32 sonatas of Beethoven.
Hi all,
I’m jumping the gun by a few days here, to bring you my interview on Leah Roseman’s amazing and very happening podcast called “Conversations with Musicians”. I was in my home on the Island while taping the show, so if nothing else, you can glimpse what kind of fridge I have! And that’s just from one angle — I had to keep moving angles as the sun moved through my skylights. However, today I’m in Waterloo, Ontario. By rights, of course, the show ought to have been taped in some tech-savvy Waterlouvian setting like this:
But that’s just the Waterloo Public Library lobby. Anyway, I’ll now hit “Publish” and go for the latte that will power me up for my rehearsal for tonight’s concert. It’s at the Maureen Forrester, Fri June 13 at 7 PM, and there’s another on Sunday at the Registry at 3 PM. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this interview as much as we did! Leah asks just the best questions and she really set me going. You can read the transcript but the video is way more fun, so I hope you can give it a listen! Bye for now, and here’s the link: https://www.leahroseman.com/episodes/heather-taves
